Lindsay Leggat Smith
Managing Director, Carey S.A.M., Monaco

Lindsay holds a Law Degree from Edinburgh University and qualified as a Solicitor in Scotland.  He moved to Paris in 1971 and practised commercial law there until 1980 when he transferred to the firm’s new Monaco office, dealing with direct investment work, tax disputes and property transactions, including site assembly for a major residential development, whilst also acting as in-house Counsel and company Secretary to a UK based developer.  Lindsay joined the trust industry in 1987 and managed a Monaco Trust Company for a private banking group until 2003, when he established Carey S.A.M.

Lindsay is a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the current Chairman of the Monaco Association of Company Service Provides.  He is fluent in English, French and German.
