Carey Group History

The Carey Group heritage dates back to 1968 when we established Carey Trustees Limited, one of the longest established independent trust companies in Guernsey. Consistent growth has led to operations in a number of key European locations although our headquarters remain in Guernsey. We are affiliated to Carey Olsen, a leading legal service provider for Guernsey and Jersey law, although as an independent group of companies we work closely with our clients' choice of professional advisers such as asset managers, lawyers, accountants, tax consultants and bankers.

In recent years we have established businesses in Luxembourg, Monaco and Cyprus in order to strengthen our multi-jurisdictional offering. These are much more than local satelite offices and include on the ground expertise and dedicated local staff such as our French tax team in Monaco.

In 2009, we successfully launched Carey Pensions UK, an independent administration and trustee company providing specialist pension services and products to the UK market. This office works closely with our International Pensions team located in the Channel Islands to provide a comprehensive portfolio including QROP's, SIPPs and bespoke company plans.

We are happy to announce in 2012 the addition of our new office in Vienna which provides services for commercial clients and private individuals / families, in particular those with interests in Central and Eastern Europe, CIS, the Balkans and Northern Italy.
